The manufacture of electro-mechanical input devices involves several different elements and processes. With our in-house expertise and capabilities, Devlin Electronics has the skills in place to produce what you need.
To enable our customers to better visualise what will be manufactured, Devlin Electronics offers 2D and 3D modelling, using the latest SolidWorks software. To further represent the concept, we can 3D print your device using our in-house facilities, ensuring precise prototyping and customised design solutions.
Devlin Electronics' multi-disciplined engineering team has extensive experience in all areas of electronics design and over the years has developed a variety of products covering almost every industry. Our portfolio includes hand-held meters for the plumbing industry, control panels for broadcast, and ultra-reliable keyboards for air traffic control.
Schematic and printed circuit boards (PCBs) are all designed in-house using the latest tools, including 3D modelling of the completed boards. This allows the finished board to be incorporated into the 3D model of the mechanical design, providing a seamless integration of electronic and mechanical components.
The engineering team's skill set also includes embedded firmware and software application development, from bare metal programming to higher-level languages such as C, C++, C#, and Visual Basic.
The engineering team is familiar with a variety of communication protocols such as TCP/IP, USB, RS232, RS485, and many others. More recent product developments have included Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices, OLED displays, magnetic card readers, bar code scanners, and passport readers, showcasing our commitment to innovative technology.
With a typical turnaround timeframe of 4 to 6 weeks, we can provide Proof of Concept models to you promptly, ensuring your project continues at pace. Our rapid prototyping services facilitate quick iteration and testing of designs.
We have extensive in-house testing equipment, which ensures all devices made in our production plants adhere to our stringent quality standards. In particular, we have an in-house EMC chamber, as well as multiple supporting pieces of equipment, which we use for product certification to inform compliance with electromagnetic standards.
Devlin Electronics offers the facility to design and manufacture bespoke plastic parts, whether it is a specific style of key top or a full enclosure. All the tooling design and moulding of parts is performed in-house, meaning Devlin Electronics has full control and responsibility for the manufacture, ensuring there are no issues with build quality and consistency.
As well as the product design, Devlin Electronics offers the facility to provide custom documentation, packaging, and labelling. For the packaging, this could be a simple box design or printed with a corporate logo. Documentation could be a product manual, installation guide, or compliance certificate. We can also provide custom labelling to meet a company's specific goods inwards requirements, such as barcoded data.
